Financial AssistanceThe YMCA wants to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our programs and enjoy the facilities and services. Financial assistance is available for memberships, child care, and summer camp programs for individuals and families with financial need. Funds for financial assistance are made available through the generous contributions of friends to the YMCA through the Annual Campaign.
An "Open Door"The Cumberland Y believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone regardless of age, background, ability or income. That’s why we offer the “Open Door” program, a financial assistance program.
Determining assistance amounts is handled in a fair and consistent manner. Every Y member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive a scholarship. Y members can feel confident knowing that they are a part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people, and is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Financial Assistance ProcessThere are two different ways to request financial assistance. If you are interested in obtaining financial assistance for membership only, simply download the financial aid application and return the completed application to the Welcome Center.
